Summary of her statement:
- She’s been a licensed dentist in Texas for 30 years.
- Kool Smiles has 38 offices in Texas. They employee 85 dentists in 38 offices in Texas (only 34 show up in 2011 data).
- All 38 Kool Smiles are owned by dentists.(Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!)
- All clinical and patient treatment decisions are made by the treating dentist
- NCDR, LLC handles non-clinical administrative, critical business support and purchasing. (more lies including the fact, only licensed medical professionals are legally able to purchase many medical supplies)
- DSO’s are “innovative” business models. (Bernie Madoff too was “innovative”)
- As a dentist, DSO’s help her do what she “does best – providing high quality dental care to my patients and spending more time with them.” (she billed Texas for performing 833 procedures on 643 patients in 2011, that’s about 12 patients a week.)
- Non-clinical leaders “DO NOT interfere with clinical decisions of the dentists”
- She has “NEVER been told by a corporation or corporate entity how to treat our patients.” (I bet that statement comes back to bite her in the ass)
- “Without that necessary separation between delivery of professional quality dental care and administrative support, the model would not work.” (this will be another bite on the back side, I bet)
- By coming to Kool Smiles over a 4 year period, “patients dental needs drop $28%” (could it be because between 2 – 6 Kool Smiles dentists have capped every tooth in the child’s mouth and they aren’t interested in treatment of permanent teeth. In 2011, one Kool Smiles clinic billed for 4,936 stainless steel crowns on primary (baby) teeth (code D2930) and 3 crowns on permanent teeth (code D2931) Another billed for 2,071 crowns on primary teeth and 1 permanent crown.
- The are committed to preventative care to save tax payers dollars. (Not sure what stainless steel crowns on baby teeth have to do with preventative care, I guess you could call it “preventative”)
- Because children come to Kool Smiles they have reduced absenteeism in school and fewer hospital ER visits for toothaches.
- The average person can’t “comprehend” the “shocking” levels of decay Earle “routinely” sees.
- Many of children who come to Kool Smiles do not own a tooth brush
- Earle is a “dedicated” dentist and “advocate” on behalf of children in underserved communities. (Earle is a paid employee of NCDR, LLC and is therefore an advocate for NCDR, NOT children in underserved communities.)

Here is an insider’s view of Dr. Earle:
This doctor likes strapping babies to the board.KS Employee
The baby was 3 yr. old little girl, she swallowed a stainless steel crown, doctor flipped her over and once she felt child was ok, she continued on.
The asst. later asked doctor Earle if she wanted her to make a report in the child's records.
Dr. Earle told the assistant. " No, let's pretend this never happened."
Our office had the child go to Urgent Doc and have a chest x ray to make sure crown was not lodged in her lungs.
I also know that the doctors are forcibly encouraged to not refer out to specialist and to perform the crowns. I also know that Dr, Earle’s treatment plans have work that is not needed.
