NCDR - Kool Smiles changing it’s management structure Jan 2013.

It appears either

1. There is pressure on NCDR & Kool Smiles to ditch the traveling trainers.
2. Strapped for cash and need to increase the bottom line in hopes of a sale.
3. Planning to hang the clinical leaders out to dry.
4. All of the above

Dear NCDR, Kool Smiles and Resolution Dental colleagues:

koolsmiles-smileonWe continue to make great progress toward our dream of creating a world of happy, healthy smiles through access to quality dental care.

In the middle of this year, we launched a cultural initiative, developed with your constructive input during 2011, to create balance within our offices. To that end, our Kool Smiles and NCDR employees worked together to create an action plan for their vision of their office, or department. As you have seen for the last year, we have made many big steps toward achieving that vision, which include:

  • The roll out of SmileOn, our new dream, mission and the Priority Pledge;
  • Improved office level decision tools and responsibility; and
  • Stronger focus on patient satisfaction and retention.

Today, we are announcing that NCDR is reorganizing its field leadership team to better support the evolving needs of the Kool Smiles and Resolution dental offices.

Effective January 14, 2013, the Kool Smiles and Resolution Dental clinical leaders will assume additional responsibilities over their respective offices. These changes will unify field leadership into a single structure in an effort to improve communication and local accountability for your offices.

You just can’t make sense out of nonsense.

Kool Smiles senior district manger tries to explain dental service organization to Texas lawmakers. Hope this wasn’t under oath. Ooops, it was. See Witness Affirmation Form

Mechanicsville, Virginia Kool Smiles still receiving complaints about lies, fraud, root canals, and stainless steel crowns; It’s 2011 folks! Is anyone listening to the people? Apparently not!!!!

KoolSmilesMechanicsville

I took this pictures in the summer of 2008, 6 months after I began hearing of these dental mills abusing children.

This is the Kool Smiles in Mechanicsville, VA.  Located in a strip mall on Mechanicsville Pike.

Appears they are still using the same ole tactics; make mom feel guilty.  This disgusting!!!

I brought my children in for a cleaning and exam. We had a 9 am appointment and we were told they would all be seen at once. They didn't finish seeing us until 3 hours later. The television ads claim that parents are welcomed to accompany children during the exam if you wish but they tried to deny me access to my 5 year old son, TWICE. They suggested that my son have 5 silver crowns on his molars and wanted us to come back for 4 separate appointments. A week later and another 3+ hours at the over crowded dirty office, my son had silver crowns on 2 of his molars. 30 minutes after leaving, my 5 year old son began screaming in pain and continued for hours.

I gave him tylenol and motrin but he continued to be in severe pain. The dentist called him in a prescription of codine which got him through the night until about 2 am. This pain went on for days. I brought him back 5 days later, he was examined and they said that nothing appeared to be wrong but he needed to come back the next day when the dentist who did the work was there. I went back the next day and retrieved his records so we could be seen by another dentist at another facility, NOT KOOL SMILES.

The next day, I bought him to another dentist to be examined. They did a new set of x-rays and compared them to the ones taken before the dental work had been done at Kool Smiles. The new dentist said he saw NO reason for the silver crowns that were already put in and certainly no reason for any addition crowns. The tiny cavity that my son did have could have easily been fixed with a standard filling. The pain my son was feeling was probably from a nerve damage occurred during the procedure and we were told that the tooth would probably die.

Please don't subject your children to this cruel and crude dentist facility. My kids actually refer to it as Kruel Smiles now.
